Friends and fans,
If you’ve heard the recent songs posted on the 10 CITY RUN My Space page you’ll hear that the music is somewhat different from our previous release on Universal South Records, Somethin’ Else. This has inclined me to retire the name and bring 10 CITY RUN to an end. 10 CITY RUN was a great band and did great things, among them, gracing the same Grand Ol’ Opry stage stood upon by the greats of country music at the hallowed Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN, where we opened for the legendary Ray Price – thus fulfilling a boyhood dream of mine. Much thanks and love goes out to all the fans and folks in radio, press, and the industry in general who’ve supported 10 CITY RUN over the years. Please check out my upcoming and future solo endeavors and see where I’m headed musically as, simply, Hans Frank: www.myspace.com/hansfrank. There you can check out new songs, find out about upcoming shows and new releases (among them: EASTER ’94 & BLEED).
Over the years, I’ve made many friends and forged many valuable partnerships and have been fortunate to play with a wealth of talented and creative musicians. Accordingly, if you come out and see Hans Frank you’ll see many familiar faces on stage with me. I will continue to perform previous material such as: CITY OF ANGELS (DUMB OL’ COUNTRY BOY), MEMORIES, STAY ALL NIGHT and others – they’re good songs and too much fun to stop playing. The new sound will encompass a myriad of musical styles and influences from traditional and alternative country, to rockabilly, bluegrass, southern rock, psychedelic, garage rock, to whatever pops into my head.
You can still purchase 10 CITY RUN CDs here on the site while supplies last. As well, we will continue to sell what merchandise (shirts, stickers, hats) we have left, however, no new merchandise will be created so when it’s gone, it’s gone.
In summation, here’s to the future, the present, the past, and all points in between.
May the road rise with you,- Hans Frank

| 12.9.2006 - Not too long ago we played a handful of songs on ME Television, broadcast in Austin, TX. So without further reprieve, here's a live performance of Laura's Store. The song has quickly become a fan favorite and it's a welcome addition to our set. We have a bunch of these videos we plan to roll out as the days go by, so keep checking back for more. "I had no worries, was a happy boy..." |
11.16.2006 - The band makes their debut on Great American Country's Edge of Country television show on November 21, 2006 1:00 PM ET. From their website, "Lead singer Hans Frank is an experienced stage actor, so he's convincingly creepy in the dark and dangerous new single, City of Angels." We're psyched and hope you are too, so please tune in and check it out.
Has it really been a month since the last update? Sorry about that, hopefully we'll have some show dates and news to post soon.

10.2.2006 - There is no way to articulate how it felt to stand upon the same stage stood upon by Hank Williams,
Johnny Cash, Webb Pierce, Lefty Frizzell, Buck Owens, the Louvin Brothers, the Wilburn Brothers, Ernest Tubb, Patsy Cline, and numerous other towering figures of country music, both past and present -- what else can I say, we opened for Ray Price at the Ryman! The crowd met us with much warmth and adoration during and after the show and everyone from Ray Price and all members of his band, to the Ryman sound techs and stage crew, to Ryman security, to the front of house staff, to kraft services and catering made us feel at home; we were a long way from San Antonio but by no means strangers. On behalf of 10 City Run and myself, I want to say thank you to: all those who attended the performance; Ray Price and band; all Ryman staff and personnel; and a very special thanks to: The Bobby Roberts Agency, Ben Ewing, and Van Fletcher for believing in us and helping to make this very special moment in our lives a reality. Thank you. - Hans Frank

10 City Run has FINISHED our first release for Universal South Records titled "Somethin' Else." You can purchase the CD here. Not only did we cover this Eddie Cochran classic on the CD, but we feel it's a good representation of 10 City Run. Our first single "City of Angels" will be hitting radio in February and we'd love for everyone to call their radio stations and request it! The CD will be released on April 25th.
